Kygo has become a powerhouse artist with major labels backing him as he developed the Tropical House sound alongside many others and brought the sound to the mainstream side of the dance music industry, as his singles began to smash the charts and make a huge impact on his reputation.

The first single to arrive was ‘Firestone’ which was Kygo’s first original production piece that saw him team up with Conrad Sewell who delivered vocals on the track and it basically set the ball in motion for Kygo to storm to success over the course of the next year or so. Followed closely by ‘Stole The Show’ which became another single that smashed the charts as Parson James featured on this, they both carried the signature Kygo sound with the piano melodies and those Tropical vibes, down tempo and soothing.

After this, singles followed in the likes of ‘Stay’ with Ella Henderson, ‘Fragile‘ with Labrinth and the hit single ‘Raging‘ which saw Kodaline feature on ‘Cloud Nine’. Kygo was not holding back and he has teamed up with some serious players in the music industry. Now we have the full album and it sounds glorious.

Stand out tracks which haven’t been heard before include ‘Fiction’ which features the wonderful vocals of Tom Odell and the spotlight is on the guitar chords which feature within this track, as well as the breakdown which goes in with the piano melodies and the synths. Upbeat and energetic, it just has Kygo written all over it. Also included is ‘Happy Birthday’ featuring John Legend and this pairing is likely to be a real hit with the fans, as the soulful and powerful vocals of John blend with the piano melodies of Kygo. Then when the synths kick in and they all fuse together, it just holds a real powerful energy over it. This is Kygo simply at his best. ‘Oasis’, ‘Serious’ and ‘Carry Me’ are all stand out singles from ‘Cloud Nine’.

Kygo has cemented himself as an artist to continue to watch over the next few years as he continues to build his reputation and brand for the Deep, Tropical House, but also as a producer who curates stunning music. His craftsmanship is taking over and the time of Kygo is upon us. What a way to make your album début.
