A couple of legends who continue to make their music on the scene and continue to draw in crowds from far and wide. Groove Armada are the topic of conversation today with a big release coming on Snatch Records. They have arrived on the label with the brand new, three track ‘House With Me‘ EP featuring the Snatch boss Riva Starr.

Groove Armada are behind some of the biggest tracks on the scene. One of their most notable tracks was the viral sensation ‘Superstylin’ which was one of the biggest, and still is, tracks of the last decade. Other tracks include ‘Easy’ and ‘My Friend’ and that has been over the years. However they are back on the scene, with some brand new material, and it comes in the form of the three track EP ‘House With Me’, with two original tracks and an edit coming in from Riva Starr on ‘Superstylin’.

The first single from the ‘House With Me‘ EP is the title track itself and it has that Dirty House feeling to it, with a real sketchy electro bass line giving off those vibes. Pair this off with that thumping drum chord, the raw vocals of Parris Mitchell which are slightly tilted, and the cool little melodies which Groove Armada have included, and it all seems to come together for something really underground. They have provided something rather cool and groovy here. ‘U Can‘ is slightly different, a little more upbeat and House like, though it still has the groove. A soulful feeling is also given off this one, especially with the vocals and the synth work which has been brought about by the artists. Once again, this track really works.

And finally on the ‘House With Me’ EP is a solid remix coming in from Riva Starr, who takes on the classic ‘Superstylin‘ by Groove Armada. The vocal has been manipulated, allowing it to loop around while the iconic melodies continue to flow through the track. Riva Starr presents it with that more Tech House atmosphere and I must admit, this is one which is going to go down a treat in the club. The drums, the vocal, the melodies, it all works so well.
