EDC UK 2017 Cancelled Due To Growth Problems

EDC UK 2017 has been cancelled, with the promoters behind the festival stating growth and improvement issues as the problem.

Electric Daisy Carnival has become one of the biggest dance music brands in the festival calendar. However even with how big the brand is and how well they have built themselves in the industry, even Insomniac, the promoters, run into trouble. EDC UK 2017 has been cancelled citing problems with growth and improvement.

The last few months has been tough for the dance music industry, especially in terms of festivals. Heavyweights such as EDC New York, T In The Park, Tomorrowland Brasil and many others have all fell away due to unforeseen problems and other issues. Now it looks like it is the turn of EDC UK 2017 to be the next. The festival was set to take place on July 8th at the Milton Keynes Bowl.

Thank you for your support of EDC UK. Our plans to grow and improve the festival at Milton Keynes have not developed as we had hoped, and we are not going to be able to stage EDC UK this July in a manner that meets all of our high expectations.

As a result, we are indefinitely postponing the show until we can properly re-imagine all areas of the experience. We apologise for the inconvenience we know this causes, and we thank you for the understanding.

The festival had previously run as a two day event, before dropping down to a one day event. With growth and improvement problems stated as the issue, it could have been this return to a two day event which was the issue. Let’s hope that the festival is able to return next year again, or it will be another one to go down to the archives. For refund information for EDC UK 2017, visit the link here.
