Disclosure Set For Hiatus As They Release Statement

Disclosure are set to take some time off after their meteoric rise to fame...

Disclosure, consisting of brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence, began the project as something which they never thought would ever happen. Childhood dreams are the best, they wanted to do something special and they certainly have, as they released hit singles and began the House crossover into the mainstream once more.

Now it looks like Disclosure won’t be appearing very much on our radar for 2017, after the brothers confirmed that they would be laying low, taking a hiatus and catching up on some well deserved sleep. They do have a few projects on the way, as well as their Wild Life festival, which is set to take place in Brighton once again this year. The official statement is as reads below:

Thank you so much for your support over the last 7 years. We were 15 and 18 when we began this incredible journey and it’s been filled with shows bigger and better than our childhood dreams could have ever imagined against many otherĀ unbelievable moments and achievements.

We really cannot thank every single one of you enough. You changed our lives forever and enable us to do what we love best on this planet. This year, we are only going to do a few special things including the return of our festival Wild Life, and a few other bits we can’t mention just yet.

For the most part however – we’re going to be taking some time out and enjoying some much needed rest. We will be back, but until then…

It’s sad that the guys will be going for a year out, especially after numerous hit singles and the success of their most recent album ‘Caracal’, however in this industry, it does take its toll. We hope to see Disclosure return soon, but we wish them the best on their year out.

You can find out more on their Wild Life festival here where the duo will be performing…
