David Guetta Drops Euro 2016 Anthem ‘This One’s For You’

David Guetta has released the new Uefa Euro 2016 anthem with 'This One's For You' and it's received a few complaints from well known producers.

David Guetta has been at the front of dance music for many many years now, bringing the scene all their commercial needs with chart topping tracks and the latest trends to capture the audience. With his latest track, which turns out to be the Uefa Euro 2016 anthem, a few producers aren’t happy with ‘This One’s For You’…

Diplo and DJ Snake is who we are talking about. Apparently they feel that the track is pretty much a rip-off of ‘Lean On’, their own chart topping successful track which completely stormed the charts as Diplo was under the Major Lazer name. First listening to the track, you can hear the similarities between the two, but the basis to say that it’s a complete rip-off is a bit far fetched and not something that I can completely agree with.

Zara Larsson, the in-demand vocalist who has been buzzing around the UK charts recently has been enlisted by David Guetta for vocals on ‘This One’s For You’ and they fit in very well with the track which he has produced. The string plucks at the start of the track really help to build up that upbeat atmosphere around the track, especially with the vocals from Zara and the way in which the track builds up, there is a sense of positive energy with the sweet piano melodies before those bass-y riveting synths kick in on the drop. This is where the similarity really is in my eyes but it’s an idea and concept that has been around for some time, and simply cannot be called a rip-off.

In all honesty, the track isn’t for me but I’m pretty sure that many of those on the scene, or on the commercial side of dance music, will fall for this track. Bring on the Euros though!
