Hey Drival! What was the song/artist/moment that made you get in to music?
Hi everyone! Thanks for having me. Well, when it comes to Electronic music, I began listening to it when I used to go to Valencia for my summer holidays. It was the mid 90’s and that is when music really grabbed my attention.

We know you’re an aficionado behind the decks, but do you have a show which made you realise you loved Trance music?
I’ve been behind the decks for almost 20 years! But I really got into Trance thanks to Armin’s A State Of Trance and Gareth Emery’s sets.

When did you discover your passion for DJing and producing?
DJing came first and I discovered it in the mid-late 90s, after listening to a national dance radio show called ‘It’s Your Time’. I loved their mixes, the dance music and after buying CDs and compilations, I decided that I wanted to mix all that music. Production has been something quite recent in fact, I decided to get into it a few years ago.

What was the first release that blew your socks off?
Tough one. If it’s from my early stages into dance music, ‘Typewriter’ by Object One got me fascinated. All the tracks on each side of that vinyl were gold! And a little bit later, I would say ‘In My Eyes’ by Milk Inc was a track on repeat forever.

Was there a Spanish artist or DJ which you admired in your younger years?
Sure. Toni Peret was the host of the radio show I used to listen to. I recorded it on cassettes every night and wrote down the tracklist. I was around 14 back then, but loved the way he introduced and mixed the tracks.

Has there been a show/track which has changed your life and the course of your musical career?
Indeed. After having played dance music as a DJ for many years (golden years of Italo dance, Belgian Dance, House music…), listening to A State Of Trance awakened my passion for Trance music, and that is something that clearly opened a new path in my career. In fact that’s when I decided to begin producing.

Finally, what do you think makes your work unique?
I think that there are two things I really take care of. One is the thorough attention I pay when it comes to mixing, I love being meticulous about blending one track into the other, controlling the overall gain of the mix, when and how to release the coming track, etc. And regarding productions, I don’t want to stick to one sound since I love many different variations of music in general, and Trance in particular.

Thanks! Give us one song that we should all check out?
I wouldn’t miss my latest release with Jennifer Rene on AVA Recordings, ‘I Got You’. Massive support by Armin van Buuren, Andrew Rayel, Andy Moor, Somna, Roger Shah and many more! Thanks for having me and see you soon!
