| by | News

Amsterdam Dance Event is one of the biggest events within dance music, with thousands of people descending upon the capital of Holland every year. With conferences, talks, workshops and dance music events held every year in their hundreds, there is something to do for everyone involved within dance music.

Each year, the conference giant releases a short film and documentary, following a topic or idea and showcasing this after the event has taken place. For 2016’s edition, the topic was ‘Perspective‘ and it followed a number of well known DJs throughout their week long journey at Amsterdam Dance Event, showcasing what they got up to over the course of the week and what they like about ADE.

The first artists to be featured in the ‘Perspective’ short film were Octave One, the Detroit duo who are renowned for their Techno and unbelievable live set up. The duo performed at the likes of Gashouder and other venues, taking place in workshops and showcasing the set up which they work with. It also followed UK sensation Eats Everything throughout many of his shows and conference panels, with the artist talking about how he works with his set, and how he changes this. Eats Everything also said about how Amsterdam in October literally situates around ADE, while also saying “I’ve actually learnt stuff, by actually going to raves, when could you ever say that?”. Also followed in the Sjamsoedin and Ellen Allien were the other two artists to also feature within ‘Perspective’.
