Watch The AVA Festival 2017 Aftermovie

The crowd in Belfast is simply one of the best and it was on show once more for this year's AVA Festival.

The AVA Festival 2017 aftermovie has arrived and it showcases one of Europe’s brightest festivals. Taking place this year on June 2nd and 3rd, it brought together thousands of young people through dance music. And no wonder people have not stopped talking about it, it was breathtaking once more.

This year we had the pleasure of attending the festival and what an experience it was. From heavyweight international artists such as Jeff Mills, Marcel Dettmann and Midland to the likes of Bicep, Hammer, New Jackson and DJ Deece, it was an incredible weekend. But one thing which the AVA Festival 2017 aftermovie has focused upon is the crowd. Without the crowd, these artists would not be performing to anyone. It is this Belfast and Irish crowd that has become so renowned worldwide.

The aftermovie showcases scenes from the AVA Pro breakfast which took place on Friday morning, to highlights from Saturday’s Boiler Room and the stages and people across both days of the festival. It was something which I will never forget. Denis Sulta claimed “No one touches AVA right now” while Boiler Room claimed it’s “our favourite place”. But the finishing quote from Belfast’s own Optimo was something special and summed up the importance of AVA Festival.

AVA is a true indication of what we are capable of if we are united and that music transcends all barriers that for generations has kept out young people apart… keep er’ lit AVA. – JG Wilkes (Optimo)

Northern Ireland is my home country and this quote is something which lays so true. Music is something which brings together all young people from so many different backgrounds and this is why AVA and their movement is so special, achieving so much in a short space of time. We hope it continues for years to come.
