Cross-genre music plays a big part in dance music at the moment, as artist hold down their own sounds, while also dabbling in others. This means that more and more new, original music is coming to the scene like we have never heard before. Vanilla Ace has stepped up and produced something really cool with ‘Little Pigs’ and this is a prime example of cross-genre music.
London based producer Vanilla Ace has been having a pretty solid few months, building up his reputation as a budding producer. The artist has recently released music on the likes of Toolroom Records amongst other labels, and has now stepped up with a new release on Spinnin’ Deep. He happens to be another name which needs to be watched out for over the coming months, with plenty of releases likely to arrive. If any follow like ‘Little Pigs’, then we will have plenty of quality tracks on the way.
‘Little Pigs’ brings across a number of different sounds, dabbling in a number of genres and it works. There is a tinge of Future House coming through, while Deep House and Tech House also play a part within the track. It all comes down to the bass line in the drop which provides that gritty underground feeling, while the deep toned vocal provides that deeper, underground atmosphere. The mixture of these two sounds add to the overall atmosphere of the track, while the melodies in the background bring the Future House sounds to the forefront. Plenty of energy is contained within this bomb, and once it goes off on the dance floor, it’s sure to bring the crowd alive. Vanilla Ace looks set to unleash the ‘Little Pigs’.
