Tink vs. My Digital Enemy – Clocks

A little bit of a different collaboration for My Digital Enemy but their team up 'Clocks' with Tink is rather cool indeed.

| by | House, Reviews

Nothing Else Matters Records, the label set up by Danny Howard, is fast becoming one of the labels for everything that sounds a little different and a little out there. For the next release to arrive on the label, it comes from American rapper Tink and UK House duo My Digital Enemy, as they release the track ‘Clocks‘.

This Summer has been a huge few months for My Digital Enemy as they make a big impact on the other side of the Atlantic. Having played shows at the likes of EDC Las Vegas, shows in Seattle and San Francisco to name but a few, it’s only fitting to see them team up with one of America’s budding rappers. Tink has been gracing the music scene with her exceptional talent, and the collaboration with My Digital Enemy for ‘Clocks’ is just another success for the library.

The lead in for the start of the track has the clear cut vocals of Tink over the top of a two-step beat which just rivets through the track, and before long, you have the Bass House sound which My Digital Enemy have been bringing across in their productions. ‘Clocks’ has that dirty bass line running through the track, while the vocals also run through the track as a whole, giving it that R&B, Hip-Hop feeling. It’s different yet it seems to work very well indeed. There’s energy and infectious vibes, but different. Nothing Else Matters changes it up once more with their releases, and My Digital Enemy and Tink have provided the goods.

You can download your copy of ‘Clocks’ here.
