Tiesto has launched his brand new AFTR:HRS sub label aiming at the Techno and Deep House heads.
A giant in the electronic dance music world after changing his sound from Trance to the more main stream side of dance music, Tiesto has been living it large over the last few years, becoming a resident in Hakkasan, Las Vegas, headlining festivals all over the world while also churning out the major main room anthems through his Musical Freedom label.
Now it looks like the dance music master is turning his hand to the more underground sounds, as he has launched a brand new sub-label AFTR:HRS which is linked to his Musical Freedom label. The only difference is, Tiesto is taking this one on fore the Techno, Deep House and Tech House sounds, going in a completely new direction to what we usually associate with him.
I have always loved playing deep house and more mellow tracks in my radio show and my live shows, but I also love to listen to it when I drive or go out late night/early morning! I wanted to create a new label just to release these types of tracks. So today, I am launching AFTR:HRS. Get ready for some great music! – Tiesto
Does it come as much of a shock? Not really to be honest. There are so many of the main stream labels now operating with the more underground sounds as it begins to return to the forefront of the scene, so to see Tiesto and Musical Freedom launch AFTR:HRS, it was only a matter of time. The first release was played by Danny Howard on his dance anthems show on BBC Radio One as a world exclusive and it does sound banging. I am rather looking forward to this.
