The Playlist: San Holo

San Holo steps up and showcases some of his influences and artists he is currently supporting!

| by | Features

It has been a meteoric rise up to the top of the scene for San Holo. The artist has released a slew of tracks on some of the renowned labels on the scene. His most recent track arrived as ‘The Future’ which featured vocals from James Vincent McMorrow and takes a more electronic approach from the artist. Now he has taken over The Playlist and delivered tracks which have influenced him, as well as tracks which he is currently digging in the scene. Take it away San Holo.

San Holo Feat. James Vincent McMorrow – The Future

I’ve been listening to James Vincent McMorrow for a long time. Getting to work on a song with him was an honour!

San Holo – They Just Haven’t Seen It

When people ask me what my personal favourite out of my own tracks is, I always tell them about this song. Funny note: Vocals are recorded by a close friend on a crappy iPhone in the middle of an airport. I asked him to do vocals last minute as he was about to take a plane to Asia.

Kasbo – Something Sad

One of my early inspirations! This track is such an emotional rollercoaster. So heartbrakingly beautiful

James Vincent Mcmorrow – Cavalier

Such an amazing song. And such an amazing music video!

Ravel – Pavane Pour Une Infant Défunte

No words. Just listen :)

Droeloe – zZz

So much love for the Dutch homies Droeloe and this song. Really some of the most forward thinking guys in Holland right now.

Taska Black – Where We Go

Our latest release on bitbird. Love how Taska infuses his classical background and almost cinematic sounds into his songs. This one truly showcases his abilities.

Kanye West – On Sight

Just one of the many songs on Yeezus that literally changed me and the way I think about music.

Sigur Ros – Glósóli

Another one of those lifechanging songs. Argh.

Eastghost – D’vocean

Eastghost is literally one of most underrated producers out there.
