The Playlist: KVR

KVR lands with ten tracks for The Playlist ranging from David Guetta to DJ Khaled and more.

The Dutch dance music scene is a place where is talent is in abundance. No matter what age, whether it be young or old, talent and skill seems to be what is attached to this scene. But more and more younger artists are coming through, with quality pieces of work. And KVR is one of these. An artist who has already impressed many with his style of Deep House and Pop, KVR is making an impression. So to gather a little about the sounds which he is interested in, the young gun takes over The Playlist. Take it away.

David Guetta ft. Justin Bieber – 2U

The drop on this track is something else – it sounds so huge. I love it!

Martin Garrix & Troye Sivan – There For You

For me, one of Martin Garrix’s greatest strengths is how catchy his vocal chops are produced. This song is a prime example.

Petit Biscuit – Sunset Lover

If we’re talking about vocal chops, there’s no way around this one really. I enjoy the relaxing chill vibe of this song a lot.

DJ Khaled Feat. Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper, Lil Wayne – I’m the One

This track stands out to me because of its minimalistic production. That might sound crazy because it sounds like a big anthem. If you listen closely there’s actually very little going on, and still it sounds big.

Charlie Puth – Attention

This song is an example of something I really dig.  A type of crossover between an acoustic song and a really big sound that combines into something more. Great song.

Logic Feat. Alessia Cara & Khalid – 1-800-273-8255

Having the guts to write a song about a topic like this is admirable, to make it an anthem like 1-800 and then put that title on it is something far beyond brave. One of the most touching songs I’ve heard lately, so impressive.

The Chainsmokers – Don’t Let Me Down (Illenium Remix)

This is probably my favourite remix ever. Illenium made this song so much bigger than it was in its original shape. Massive banger.

Kygo Feat. Ellie Goulding – First Time

This is one of those songs that I didn’t like right away when I heard it for the first time, but it slowly grew on me, and it just keeps growing.

Cheat Codes Feat. Demi Lovato – No Promises

This one has such a weird drop in a way, but that makes it interesting, because in the end it works really well.

Lauv – I Like Me Better

Just a really really catchy song.
