The Playlist: Kamereon

Kamereon is the next artist to take over The Playlist and what a selection of tracks she has brought forth...

Budding producers sometimes come up with some of the best tracks on the scene and this is what Kamereon has shown us. Alongside her companion Shakecraft, the London producer released the track ‘Sweat’ on Danny Howard’s Nothing Else Matters label and what a success story this was. To show us a little about the music the producer is digging, she has taken over The Playlist to showcase her current top ten tracks and it’s all things House, Tech House and Techno, just the way we like it. Tell us more Kamereon.

Kollektive Turmstrasse – Sorry I Am Late (Richy Ahmed Remix)

Richy Ahmed knocks it out of the park with this one, his sounds punch, the drums are tight. It all smacks so clean and crisp, and cranks on relentlessly. A tidy beast of a track.

Cassius – Go Up (Butch Remix)

Cassius deliver the quality time and time again and Butch takes this one to a real good place. He teases it and works it up and up, it’s infectious groover, with cheeky moving baselines. It sums up the vibe of the proper Ibiza terraces. Big smiles.

Shakecraft & Kamereon – Sweat

What to say, we felt this from the minute we hit the bass with the vocal. It locks you into the groove, hypnotic, rolling, working.

4000Hz (Will Clarke Acid Tab Mix)

A dark and crusty techno journey, with trippy voices, and acid creeping all over the place. It harps back to the early days – one for the heavier ravers who go hard.

Green Velvet – Flash (Latmun remix)

Respect for Green velvet, great works. The original is one of those must have records for me, synonymous with that earlier Techno era. Latmun gets the groove, making it perfect for some techy peacetime.

Shakecraft & Kamereon – Take A Picture

A special tune for us, with dark undertones, and dirty vocals. Hearing this in the club, hits the spot bang on.

Detlef – Kinky Tail

My kind of track – understated, all in the groove, getting hammered all summer. It’s an easy player, every set.

Adam F & Kokiri & Rae – Harmony (Kamereon remix)

My spin on a big record. Harping back to the early days of rave, I took it and twisted it on a moody tip, adding haunting synths, pitched down chops, and fierce snares. All the things I like are in there.

Booka Shade – In White Rooms (Hunter-Game Remix)

The undeniable track remixed to perfection, deep, slick, cool, done.

Andy Bros – Novecento

Pianos are my weakness so you’ll see why I like this one, feeling, frenzy, tension.
