The Playlist: DJ Rae

DJ Rae provides her top ten tracks for The Playlist including her newest single 'My Soul'.

| by | Features

DJ Rae continues to build up her reputation amongst the many within the dance music community. This is a DJ who also produces, song-writes, provides her own vocals and has an array of talents. It all helps her continue on her path towards stardom. With various performances under her belt at the likes of ADE, Glastonbury and plenty of Ibiza hot-spots, DJ Rae has provided her top ten tracks for The Playlist. And there are some serious tracks laid down here including her new single ‘My Soul’ on her newly launched RATED Records label.

Lupe Fuentes & DJ Rae – Reachin’ (Flashmob vocal remix)

I love what Flashmob do – they gave our tune a serious lick of a groove and worked my vocals real good.

Inner City – Pennies From Heaven

One of my all-time favourite tunes and early influences. Great to see Kevin Saunderson’s label bringing all the gems back in style.

Weiss & Christian Nielsen – Say It To Me

Love this collaboration – slick production, old school house feeling, and understated vocal keeping it real cool.

Liberty City – Some Lovin’

Everything about this is pure timeless class, real vibes. That hook gets under my skin.

DJ Rae – My Soul

First release on my label RATED, laden with all my influences and a dark sultry vocal. Proper moody.

Carl Cox – I Want You (Forever) (Josh Butler Remix)

Old rave classic. Josh Butler has done it fine justice, made it playable once again for the house heads. Love that hypnotic vocal.

London Grammar – Non Believer (Richy Ahmed Remix)

Richy Ahmed never fails to deliver – he just seems to embellish anything he touches. A beautiful journey of music.

The Deepshakerz & DJ Rae – Good Times

Naughty EP I did with The Deepshakerz. It’s such an easy player, all the right stuff to kick the night off.

Gianni Bini & The Rituals – Shake Your Booty

That funky groove, big old soul vocal – winner. Been hammering this.

Max Chapman – La Fiesta

Nicely re-worked, infectious little player.

You can download ‘My Soul’ here.
