Steve Aoki has teamed up with Felix Jaehn and Adam Lambert for the new track ‘Can’t Go Home’.
Steve Aoki is well known for his on-stage antics which range from stage diving to throwing cakes at fans in the crowd, while he pumps out some hard Electro House. Felix Jaehn on the other hand is well known for his Tropical and Deep House blend, so to see the two artists come together on a track was a little bit different and I was a little unsure what to expect…
Felix Jaehn has rose to prominence over the last few months with his huge collaboration and edit with OMI on ‘Cheerleader’ and since then, the artist has been on fire and demanded with all sorts of requests, but it looks like he has teamed up with Steve Aoki for their latest track, coming in the form of ‘Can’t Go Home’ which takes up the cross-genre style of Tropical House with added beat and energy, to give it that main room club aspect. Adam Lambert also features on the track.
So as I said, I was a little unsure what to expect when hearing that these two artists had collaborated, and with Adam Lambert on vocals, it was a real power track with a host of big names. However, I must say it really works and this is one which is going to dominate the dance floors to get the crowds moving. The drop features some infectious melodies which ooze out the Tropical House feeling, especially when it kicks halfway through again with layers of melodies which blend in beautifully with Adam Lambert’s vocals. It breaks down and the chilled out vibes flow once more with the vocals layered over the top, before it begins to build up to yet another energetic drop.
It’s a cool track and not one we expected would happen, but it works and this is sure to be a track for the Summer so check it! You can buy your copy of ‘Can’t Go Home’ here.
