It has been a quiet time around the Steve Angello camp. It had been a quiet time around his Size Records label as well but recently they have been a bundle of energy since the start of the year. Now it looks like Steve Angello is set to follow in his labels footsteps. He has just revealed his three part album ‘Almost Human‘ and it looks to be big.

Three parts. Act 1 – Genesis, Act 2 – Inferno and Act 3 – Paradiso. Three major parts of his ‘Almost Human’ album which will be a story through the career of Steve Angello. It’s an exciting project with no actual release date yet, but he has revealed that two new singles will arrive every week until the release of the album. Wow.

After months of disconnect I felt I had to change the way I made music, change the way I thought of music and the way I felt about music. First step was to reinvent my live performance and to do that we changed the whole way we presented the art-form we all loved unconditionally. – Steve Angello

The first two singles have arrived from the ‘Genesis’ part of ‘Almost Human’. The first single has been released as ‘Breaking Kind‘ which features Paul Meany and it sounds so beautiful. Bringing together the sweet synth work and the vocals of Paul, they fuse brilliantly in the builds, before the hard electronic drop comes through. It’s the true and quality craftsmanship we expect from Steve Angello.

He also follows this up with the powerful, intriguing and reinvigorating ‘Rejoice‘ which is his most powerful and meaningful single yet. It takes the vocals of a Bishop and his speech and turns it into a track which takes you on a journey. The way in which it builds and Steve Angello uses the synth work and electronic elements in the latter of the track is just utter perfection. We simply cannot wait for the release of ‘Almost Human’. Stay tuned for the next two singles.
