Space Ibiza tops the DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs poll, twelve months after being pipped to the post by Green Valley.
Now remember folks, this poll is something similar to that of the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ’s poll, though it is a little more believable than what the DJ poll is like. On the top of the world’s number one club, Space Ibiza has just been given the crown for the forth time, regaining the title from Green Valley who snatched it for a year last year.
It’s a record breaker with Space Ibiza topping the poll, only twelve months after they were pipped to the post by Green Valley of Brasil, which came in in second place, while being followed by Amnesia in Ibiza which placed third. In a way, it’s a fitting way to round off twenty-seven years as this will be the final year of Space Ibiza as they gear up for one final blow out before the club shuts, so to see them top the poll is rather cool indeed.
Also featuring on the list is the likes of Octagon in Seoul, Pacha in Ibiza, Zouk Singapore, Hakkasan (the first Vegas club to feature), Ushuaia in Ibiza, Sirena and rounding off the top ten is BCM Planet Dance (Magaluf!). Other notable clubs on the DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs are the likes of DC10 which came in twelfth position, Berghain/Panorama Bar in sixteenth, while Ministry Of Sound London was one of the big fallers, falling thirteen places to twenty-third. Fabric, Digital, The Warehouse Project, Air Amsterdam, EGG LDN and Sankeys in Manchester all featured on the list.
