What a year it has been for Sophie Francis so far as the young Dutch talent continues to impress with her big room sounds as she continues to work alongside John Christian’s label Freeway Recordings, with her latest release on the label coming as the festival anthem ‘Bad Boy’, with support pouring in for this one already.

It’s hard for someone to really make it on the dance music scene, without the big labels supporting or an established artist championing you, it’s a hard one to crack. With the hard work she has already put in, seventeen year old Sophie Francis is making her mark on the scene and John Christian is fully supporting her, with a number of releases under her belt on his label. The newest comes in the form of ‘Bad Boy’ and I have a feeling this one is going to hit the dance floors hard.

‘Bad Boy’ brings in a mixture of sounds as Sophie Francis brings the big room sounds through in the studio to her tracks, with the hard beat behind the track, a lot of bass and a number of major kicks within it. The track sees a blend of Reggae like vocals with the big room synths really coming into play throughout the track and bringing a whole lot of energy with it. As this all happens, the builds are holding this energy back for the drop and the drop is where all the madness occurs, with the big kicks hitting hard and a bass line behind it that is going to rock the dance floors and all those in the crowd. The breakdown is probably the most infectious part with sweet melodies leading to a killer build. Sophie Francis seems to have a formula in place and it’s working, she is rapidly rising to the top of the game.
