Skrillex Aims For The Radio Waves With ‘Would You Ever’

It's been a long time coming but Skrillex is back with a sweet new radio worthy single.

Skrillex is quite possibly one of the Kings when it comes to production within the studio. This is an artist who can turn his hand to a hard hitting Dubstep anthem or turn his hand to Trap or Bass or Hip-Hop. But some of his best productions have saw him lean towards the more mainstream radio side. And this is what we get with ‘Would You Ever‘.

Some serious Skrillex tunes have arrived over the last year and a half but none quite like ‘Would You Ever’. ‘Purple Lamborghini‘ saw the talented producer team up with Rick Ross, ‘Slam Dunk‘ was in collaboration with Valentino Khan, while ‘Waiting‘ was a powerful play with What So Not and RL Grime. Now he has steamed away from the directions of these tracks with the sweet, mainstream radio worthy ‘Would You Ever’, which features Poo Bear on vocals.

The track starts off with a deep layered melody presenting a sketchy outlook in the backdrop. Adding in the vocals of Poo Bear and the track has a slightly chilled sound to it, one which then really takes hold as the track oozes energy within the builds thanks to the vocals of Poo Bear which ramp up the tension. The track then drops down and the energy flows out of the track, providing a rather infectious backdrop with the bass line and the sketchy vocals which have been chopped and changed. Bringing it all back, the track falls back down before the builds take hold once more. It’s a sweet vibe, nothing hard hitting but one which seems to have plenty of emotion. ‘Would You Ever’ is the next big hit for Skrillex.
