What a year it has been for Simone Liberali. The Italian artist has skyrocketed his reputation in the underground dance music scene over the last twelve months with a series of successful hits, and he continues to impress right through to the end of 2017. His next EP ‘Halo’, has arrived on Saved Records and it is the perfect way to finish off a very successful year.
You may or may not have heard of Simone Liberali. But he is a name you should certainly take note of. His track ‘Can’t You See’, which he produced alongside Leon, became one of the most played tracks at this year’s The BPM Festival. Other releases have arrived on the likes of ElRow Music, and he has performed at various countries around the world for the likes of ElRow and many others. Now he has delivered his solo EP ‘Halo’ to Nic Fanciulli’s label Saved Records, and the support for this has already been huge.
‘Halo’ is the first track to arrive on the EP and it really sets the tone for what you can expect from the artist with the two tracks. A deep rolling bass line anchors the track down, keeping the energy flowing and the infectious nature of the track distributed to the ears of the listener. The way in which he has looped the vocal and layered it into the track is just perfection. Adding of all this into the track, producing the builds which really allow the energy to mount, and then dropping it all in the drop, it’s fantastic stuff.
The second track on the EP comes as ‘Upside Down’ and this one has a more sketchy tone to it with the percussion and synths that Simone has used. The key part of this track is the breakdown with the sweet melodies, the tribal like vocal sample which he has used in the production and the way in which the energy builds up. It’s the perfect lead up to the drop and when it drops, you can picture how the crowd would react to this one. Solid work from Simone Liberali with the ‘Halo’ EP. You could very easily see these tracks feature across many artists sets.
