Sander Van Doorn is one of the most prolific producers and DJs in the dance music scene. He has produced some of the biggest anthems to feature on the scene, and built up a huge reputation for himself over the years. But now he is heading in a different direction, with the full launch of his Purple Haze alter-ego.
Purple Haze is a project which Sander Van Doorn had launched many years ago, blowing away crowds with ‘Bliksem’. Material from the project has been sparse but it is getting a full launch this coming weekend at Ultra Music Festival Miami. Having already teased material at shows in Melbourne and Sydney, aptly named Phaze One and Two, the producer is now gearing up for a full launch of his darker, atmospheric Trance sounds. The excitement is real around this one.
For fans of the Purple Haze moniker, a new track has also been teased and previewed on Armin Van Buuren’s A State Of Trance radio show. ‘Neiloj‘ is the title of the track and will be set for a release on May 15th, so anticipation is already building for that. Sander Van Doorn has also confirmed that he will not be leaving behind his SVD name, that he will continue to produce under this, however we could see a greater focus on the Purple Haze name over the next few months. Big times for the producer and DJ, lets hope we see a quality audio-visual performance at this year’s Ultra Miami.
Skip to 23:30 for the world premiere of ‘Neiloj’ on Armin’s ASOT804. Tune in to the Purple Haze Facebook to watch the launch of the alter-ego.
