Riva Starr drops in with this solid new EP which features a brilliant remix from Skream.

Riva Starr is an impeccable force within dance music and the underground scene to be specific. The artist has tirelessly worked within the scene, developed his own sound and developed his musical platform that is Snatch Records. He continues to bring some incredible content to the scene, with the likes of ‘The Basement Shit‘ EP.

The underground scene is alight with new artists breaking through, but you can also rely on those who have established their names to produce some quality content. Riva Starr is one of those, no matter when or where the release comes, the music can be hailed and trusted. This new EP sums that up, with Riva Starr releasing ‘The Basement Shit’ EP on his very own Snatch Records, while also enlisting underground heavyweight Skream to provide remix duties.

First up on ‘The Basement Shit’ EP is the original track from Riva Starr and this is one perfect for the intimate club scene. With a thumping beat behind the track, sketchy melodies running through as well as a classy vocal to add that extra edge, the title track holds it all. All of the element which hand in hand with each other, and when it drops, allowing the deep, darkened melodies to come through, it is an experience all in its own. Ready for the basement clubs…

Following on from this is the Skream remix of ‘The Basement Shit’ and it sees a mixture of the Tech House sounds coming through, as well as the Techno vibes. A harder hitting beat comes through in the track, while the tension and atmosphere has been heightened in the track, before the drop kicks in. When it drops, all the energy pours out of the track in an infectious beat, before coming back down again. Solid work from Skream.
