Quilla. If you haven’t heard the name, then it’s a bit of a shock. If you like your ambient, Indie-Dance kind of tracks, with a high tendency for bringing magical vocals, then you’ll fall in love with the sounds of Quilla. Good news for fans of hers though, she has just delivered a brand new album ‘You Got It’ and we are seriously impressed with this one.

‘You Got It’ brings together all of the multi-talents that Quilla holds. She can produce her own music and perform it, while also taking hold of the songwriting and the vocal work which appear on the tracks. Holding all of these is something which has made her a stand out artist on the scene. And with the release of this new album, we are treated to ten brand new tracks from the artist. Many of these will surely make you fall in love. This is magical new material.

The first track on the album, which really sets the tone for the rest of the album, is the title track ‘You Got It‘. A four minute, thirty second long track, a deep bass line flows through the track with high level synths and the beautiful vocals of Quilla flow through the track. Fusing this all together, you create such an airy atmosphere, an ambient feeling to the track and you really get the impression of the Indie-Pop sound coming through. It simply is beautiful work from the very talented musician.

Also on the album are a number of other stand out tracks. ‘Games‘ has a little bit of a gritty feel to it thanks to the drums and the deep beat, while the airy atmosphere returns once again due to the vocals of Quilla and the synth work which rivets through the backdrop of the track. ‘Flawed‘ brings in a number of different elements, with the strings taking hold of this one, creating a whole new edge. Adding in the vocals, the synth work, it all seems to come together and really deliver the energy and the goods. Seeing this live would be a wonderful experience. Other tracks which also stand out include the down-beat ‘The Collector‘ and the pretty sweet, big atmospheric track, ‘Free‘. Quilla has certainly impressed.
