After two years, we have a brand new Pig & Dan album as the Spanish Techno duo release fourteen brand new tracks under the album title ‘Modular Baptism’ that sees them return to their Techno roots after their previous album, and they have not disappointed with this one with new club anthems and plenty of smashing tracks.

Its all about returning to our modular roots and is all about dance floor music. We wanted to grab some oldschoolness and add that modern touch sound wise. We’ve put everything into this one and haven’t held back. – Pig & Dan

Arriving on their very own label Elevate which they launched three years ago, the talented duo who have been producing under the Pig & Dan name for over ten years now have released plenty of new tracks under the album title ‘Modular Baptism’ and the journey which you undertake when listening to this album is immense, through the highs and lows of each track, you become completely submerged into the depths of the Techno sounds which are being broadcast through each track.

The first track to arrive on the album is ‘Now Or Never’ and immediately listening to this track, you have a feeling of what is going to come next. With a driving beat and deep bass lines, filtered in alongside strong vocal samples which create that deep atmosphere, it’s something special. Another of the stand out tracks is ‘Irrigate’, which goes for melodies which progress throughout the track, once again paired off with deep and dark tinged vocals, while the energy flows onto the dance floor and creates a rather intense atmosphere which you, the listener, will struggle to pull away from. It sends you into a deep trance like state.

I also cannot forget to mention ‘Growler’, a track which has been kept in ties with the album as an album only release and the way this track progresses, where it breaks down and drops again, it’s Techno perfection with a lot of energy. Other tracks to listen out for include ‘The Saint’, ‘Passage To Israel’ and ‘Stella’.

Techno heads, Pig & Dan have put everything into this album and it is well worth a listen, I myself am rather liking ‘Modular Baptism’ and recommend you take a listen to it. You can buy your copy of the album here: pro.beatport.com/release/modular-baptism
