Twenty years is a long time to keep up your reputation, to continue to churn out quality House tunes, and keep a label running within the changing scene. Milk & Sugar have done that, and they continue to do it over the years. Now with this celebration, they have brought Teenage Mutants, Robosonic and the legendary David Morales all on board, as well as producing a remix themselves, of the classic ‘Higher & Higher’.
Higher & Higher.
What can we expect? Well expect classic House music. Robosonic is the first to step up and he adds his cool House sounds to the track, with driving melodies, a sweet little bass line and a cool play on the vocals. The drop is full of energy, pumping House energy that is sure to go down well with fans on the dance floor. Milk & Sugar themselves have stepped up to remix the track, keeping the majority of the vocals in key, fusing them with the bass line which runs throughout the track, and adding a blend of the sweet, infectious melodies. This is one for the classic fans.
As already mentioned, the mighty David Morales also steps up for a re-edit of his 1999 remix of ‘Higher & Higher’ and boy does this take you back. This is when dance music, House music was at it’s peak. This is where the good stuff was. David Morales was pinnacle in this and if you need a Disco vibe to really get the party going, add this one to your collection. Lastly, Teenage Mutants steps up for remix duties and again, he produces the goods. This one goes on to the Deep House, Tech House cross-over with a slow beat and a deep, growling bass line. Adding in the classic vocals, Teenage Mutants has produced an infectious take on this classic. Wonderful new material.
