This is a superb new EP from Matt Fax as he brings three tracks to Zerothree Music with the ‘Wrath’ EP.
Every so often I love to hear some brilliant Progressive House music, those that follow on from the Kingpin of progressive, Eric Prydz and you can certainly see that Matt Fax is one of these talents who is fast becoming a name in the scene, and this can be identified most definitely in his ‘Wrath’ EP, which has been released on Zerothree Music.
The three track EP has arrived from Matt Fax and it is gripping Progressive House fans with the driving synths and chords which you hear in the tracks. The first of these which I heard was ‘Turismo’, a ten minute masterpiece which didn’t seem to stop and just seemed to keep rising and falling, distributing energy throughout and keeping you tuned in to exactly what was happening with the tracks. If I heard this in the club or at a festival, I think I would go off on one!
The second track I picked up on from the EP was the title track and it was sublime, ‘Wrath’ is yet another shining example of the talents and skill which Matt Fax has at his disposal, where he can enter the studio and produce some classy tracks like this. Those futuristic like sounds smash away at your ears, while it begins to build, but when it drops, you’ll know all about it, The energy which surrounds this track is insane. Finally on the EP is ‘Diving’ and it goes for a little more darker and deeper electro approach, with the overshadowing synths mixing in with the deep bass. It all comes together for yet another superb track as it builds up with an atmospheric piano like melody before it drops back into the deep bass led sounds. Matt Fax is an artist I recommend you keep an eye out for.
