Maceo Plex is an incredible force within the industry. His deep, dark Techno and underground vibes have been a huge part of many dance music fans lives. The connection he makes with his followers on the dance music is just brilliant. Now he has released his brand new album ‘Solar‘ and it is simply wonderful.

‘Solar’ is the brand new, eleven track album to come from Maceo Plex, released on his newest imprint Lone Romantic. This all follows on from his previous album, ‘Journey To Solar’, which was released on his iconic Ellum label. The new album though is a mixture of those classic Maceo Plex sounds which are so subtle yet noticeable, but also a whole new edge to his sound as well. This brand new mixture is something which is going to really go down well.

Sparks Of Life‘ kicks off the album with an atmospheric, melodic synth led intro which just sets up the whole feeling of the universe and the journey with solar exploration. However as this track progresses, it hits those dark, heavy Techno vibes, which thump there way through the track. The way in which it changes, cuts and shapes its way through the track showcases the incredible production work from Maceo Plex.

There are numerous tracks which stand out on the album, each holding their own style and their own sounds. ‘Polygon Pulse‘ features DNCN, who features on a couple of tracks on the ‘Solar’ album, and the mixture of his soothing, raw vocals, with the deep flowing backdrop, just has quality written all over it. ‘Indigo‘ has a down-tempo vibe to it, as John McCleery showcases his vocals on the track, but this is one which fans will definitely love.

Other notable tracks include the sketchy ‘Kepler’s Journey’, the hard hitting Techno thumper ‘Eternal 808’, the synth led ‘Wash Away My Tears’ and the atmospheric ‘The Tesseract’.
