Dimensions Festival has become one of the major underground electronic festivals in the world. With a whole host of diverse acts playing throughout, artists have really made their names at the festival. With this, they have launched the Dimensions Recordings label and now this is offering some artists the chance to showcase their musical talents, which is where London Modular Alliance rock up.

The collective arrived on the first release on Dimensions Recordings, the compilation to celebrate the festival, and now they have delivered a four track EP ‘Hands & Brains‘. This EP showcases the skills and quality of London Modular Alliance, a group of artist who hold modular equipment in their hearts. Well that actually run the London Modular store in the UK capital. ‘Hands & Brains’ bring all of those sounds which you would expect to hear to the ears of the listener.

The first track on the EP, ‘Hands & Brains‘, has a riveting synth led melody which drives through the track and lays down those gritty underground sounds. Plenty of energy, this one will have a solid hold on the crowd. It’s definitely one which will gain a reaction. The second track follows in with ‘False Prophecy‘ and again, this is one which has a cool break-beat to it and an eerie synth which creates an atmosphere like no other. London Modular Alliance and certainly showcasing their skills with this one.

Forbidden‘ is the third track on the EP and this again has a sweet melody which runs through the track with the synths that are used, while the energy really flows, working in with the bass line and the melodies. A really cool vibe. The last track to feature on the EP is ‘I Settled For Her Leftovers‘. This one is probably my favourite track, due to the sketchy melodies and synths which take over the track. It’s different, it’s out there and it’s one which seems to grip you as a listener. This is one which would be perfect for the underground club.
