Lane 8 has been a producer whose reputation has sky-rocketed over the last few years due to the productions he has brought to the table. Each release that he has delivered has been nothing but sheer quality and showcases his craftsmanship in the studio. And this has certainly been showcased with the release of his second album ‘Little By Little‘.

The last couple of years has saw Lane 8 announce his new label This Never Happened, a platform which he has used to release some of his finest work. Alongside of this was the inception of his tour dates with This Never Happened, banning the use of all mobile phones in the club. This was to create a special, exclusive feel and leave fans dying to go to see what was going on. Then came the news of ‘Little By Little’ which excited fans even more, and now it has arrived.

Ten tracks. Ten beautiful pieces of melodic music. An atmosphere surrounds this album, allowing you to journey into a blissful zone of chilled out, relaxing and soothing nature. In the months prior to the release, we had been teased as to what was expected with tracks such as ‘No Captain’ (an absolute masterpiece), ‘Atlas’ (a soothing melodic journey), and ‘Coming Back To You’ (an emotional rollercoaster) all being delivered to our ears.

The full release of ‘Little By Little’ has now allowed us to hear exactly what Lane 8 was rumbling up in the studio. And a number of tracks really stand out. The first is ‘Daya’ which just kick starts the album with a bang. A huge melodic anthem, the way in which it builds and drops, taking you on a whirlwind ride through the sounds of Lane 8 is so special. The title track ‘Little By Little’ is yet another beauty, with a series of layered sounds building up a wonderful track. ‘Skin & Bones’, with the stunning synths and vocals from Patrick Baker create a connection like no other, while both tracks featuring Fractures are a must listen. It’s only January but this has the potential to be album of the year.
