Kygo has released his star-studded new EP which features a number of new tracks.

| by | Deep House, News, Reviews

The successful rise of Kygo has been an incredible story to watch unfold. He has transformed the dance music scene and what it stands for with his whole new blend of music. From the Tropical House and Deep House crossover into purely good music is just stunning. Now he has delivered a number of tracks under the ‘Stargazing‘ EP.

‘Cloud Nine’ was the recent album release from Kygo and it really set the tone for what we could expect in terms of high profile collaborations and infectious tracks. Since then we have received two singles. The first came as ‘It Ain’t Me‘ which was a collaboration between Kygo and Selena Gomez and it has skyrocketed in terms of the reception it received. Following this was his track ‘First Time‘ with Ellie Goulding, and again, this was another which was well supported. Both feature on the new ‘Stargazing’ EP.

So what’s new you ask? Well the title track ‘Stargazing‘ has been released with Justin Jesso and it’s a beauty. The iconic piano melodies rivet through the track while the vocals of Justin Jesso add a whole new dimension to the track, creating a stunning atmosphere. This is the classic Kygo we expect to hear, and it will likely be a real hit with his fans. ‘This Town‘ features Sasha Sloan and it is a little different to the rest of the tracks. But it’s a real cool vibe indeed. Sasha’s vocals are irresistible while the background production from Kygo is something we haven’t really heard. With cool beats and strings, it’s down-tempo but the synth work is just something you fall in love with.

The final track from the ‘Stargazing’ EP is the brand new collaboration with U2 titled ‘You’re The Best Thing About Me‘. Bringing together the drums, guitars, synths and the vocals of Bono, it has the potential to really head towards the charts and make an impact. This is going to be one which the crowd will definitely be singing along too.
