Katy B has gone out and smashed it with her brand new album ‘Honey’ which features some star studded artists.
The London girl is back with a bang, delivering thirteen stand out tracks that are sure to make their way onto a dance floor near you, whether your into Drum N Bass, Deep House, Tech House or any of the other genres, Katy B has it covered with her new album ‘Honey’ and she hasn’t held back with her collaborators.
The first few singles arrived before the album was released, with the title track ‘Honey’ released alongside Kaytranada, an artist who is renowned for his production work and this track does certainly set the tone for the rest of the album, as it goes with the slow beat, the stand out vocals of Miss Katy B while the energy just oozes out of the track, as does the quality. Also released before the album was the huge radio hit ‘Who Am I’ which was a collaboration with the mighty Craig David and Major Lazer, a track which has been smashing it in the clubs as well as the airwaves. It just doesn’t really need much talking about, a huge anthem with sweet vocals from both, as Major Lazer bring those dancehall like vibes through the production work.
A stand out track follows with track number three, bringing in the talents of the UK based Wilkinson as well as MC Stamina as they produce this massive Drum N Bass anthem, fuelled with high energy melodies and the beautiful vocals of KB once again, the drop providing the goods as ‘So Far Away’ goes in hard. This one is a definite festival anthem. Also featuring on ‘Honey’ is the new track alongside the highly talented and in-demand Hannah Wants as they revealed ‘Dreamers’ which follows that edgy Tech House vibe and what a storming tune this is, yet another one which could go down a treat with fans as the deep drum samples allow the energy to flow, while the bass line goes in hard to provide that real deep and dark atmosphere.
Jamie Jones also makes an appearance on the album (we did say it was star-studded) as does the brilliant Chris Lorenzo, who produced another of the radio hits from the album with ‘I Wanna Be’. Did we also forget to mention Novelist, Four Tet, Floating Points, Geeneus and a few others? ‘Honey’ could be one of the albums of the year and Katy B is sure to be dominating sets as her tracks feature throughout the festival circuit this coming Summer. What an album.
