Jeremy Olander has learnt from the best. Coming up under the ranks of Eric Prydz with the Pryda Friends banner, Jeremy has built his own sound, developed it and launched himself as one of the most sought after producers out there. For his latest release, he arrives on Suara with the new two track ‘Talespin‘ EP which sums up his sound brilliantly.
Eric Prydz has his Progressive House alias with the Prydz name and Pryda, as well as his darker Techno alias Cirez D. Jeremy Olander operates under one name but delves into both sounds and he does it brilliantly. You get to hear both of his sounds in this new ‘Talespin’ EP, one track being Techno and the other along the Progressive House sounds. All hail Jeremy Olander in my eyes, this artist is going places and should be bigger than what he is…
The first track on the ‘Talespin‘ EP is the title track and it leans in the direction of the Techno sound. Oh my. This is blissful listening. The track has a riveting bass line which rumbles through the track and just seems to dominate completely, there is a high level of intensity here because of that. With the intricate layers of melodies in over the top of this, it just seems to come together, bringing together a dark, deep atmosphere, but one which the listener cannot escape. This is intense, a solid track, one which has me sitting on the edge of my seat.
Following this is the second track, ‘Panorama‘ and it takes on the Progressive House sound which Jeremy Olander is renowned for. It’s a little more deeper sounding, though lighter in atmosphere, not as dark or heavy. The synths which have been produced for this are just exceptional, the sound which they bring reel you in. The energy which is also distributed from this track is just mind-blowing, there seems to be a level of addiction laid within the drop, especially with that bass line, the melodies and the overall production work from Olander. This is why I rate him so much as an artist. The ‘Talespin’ EP is perfection.
