There was a class of new upcoming stars which burst onto the scene around the same time. Martin Garrix, Oliver Heldens, Julian Jordan and Jay Hardway are just a few to be named, but it’s the latter we are focusing on today. Jay Hardway has just dropped the new track ‘Amsterdam’ which is also the new Amsterdam Music Festival anthem.
So far this year Jay Hardway has brought a number of big tracks to the scene. Whether they be his own, or collaborating with the likes of Bassjackers, Martin Garrix or remixing the likes of Bingo Players, he has been producing some top quality stuff. His latest is one very big project, bringing the Amsterdam Music Festival anthem to the scene with ‘Amsterdam’, and this is one which is going to dominate the scene over the next few months.
It’s all about the big room sounds and this is what Jay Hardway has done. With a very cool intro, which you could see going down a treat in the arena, the track brings the piano melodies before fading into the synths. This then leads to a sharp build which mounts the energy and tension, before the track drops down. It’s all about the positive energy and big sounds when it drops, with the synth led melodies dominating the drop. This breaks down once more where the melodies take hold of the track once again, the tension begins to build with the layers of sounds and then it’s back to the drop where all this energy flows out of the track. It’s energetic stuff from Jay Hardway.
