Grum’s sound is like an addiction and ‘Drifting Away’ is your latest hit of his sound.
Grum has been a talent I have been keeping a close eye on for the last year or so after hearing some of his work, and often I have compared him to the likes of Jeremy Olander and Eric Prydz, his Progressive House music is that good so to see him arrive back on the scene with ‘Drifting Away’ has made my day.
Following tracks such as ‘Straight To Your Heart’, his remix of Secondcity’s ‘What Can I Do’, his three track ‘Trine’ EP and many other singles, Grum has been making his mark on the scene over the last year or so (although he has been around for a lot longer and delivered some amazing tunes) but more recently, he has been delivering some hot Progressive House anthems and he doesn’t look to be slowing down, especially with his new release ‘Drifting Away’ and I hope that this is just the start of more to come from this man.
Grum has made his Progressive House sound so enticing and so enthralling that whenever you hear it, it literally captures you as the blend between the Progressive House and Trance sounds are so similar and so close. This is just an immense new tune with airy vocals that add to the atmosphere which surrounds the track, especially when the synths come in and begin to build up the energy towards the drop as it all mounts up. When it drops, it’s fantastic as the progressive nature continues to drive through the track and the melodies reel you in to the inner depths of the track. It’s an anthem, one which has a lot of energy surrounding it and one which is sure to go down a treat with fans. By the time you get round to the second drop, you have been captured by the Grum sound and you’ll find yourself addicted to it, waiting for your next hit and the second drop is there to give it to you.
