UK based producer Draft has dropped a sensational new EP on Mau5trap.

Mau5trap seems to be the label which has continued to grow it’s roster of talent with artists such as BlackGummy, Rezz and many others all coming through the ranks. They are pushing the boundaries between the electronic, bass and techno regions, and the support continues to grow for them. Another of the artists is Draft, a producer from the UK, and he has delivered the stunning ‘Patience & Time‘ EP.

This is an EP you could instantly find yourself lost within. The boundaries are skewed, a grew area between a number of genres. But it’s a fantastic EP to listen to. ‘Patience & Time’ will take you into regions you never thought you would find yourself. The first track is ‘Letheia‘ and it plays on wonderful synth work, melodies and a bass which continues to build through the track. This all leads to the an almighty drop as the bass kicks in with sketchy melodies, an incredible atmosphere is created.

Coney’s Wheel‘ follows suit with similar styled melodies, yet a dirty bass line takes hold alongside skewed vocals which add a whole new edge to the track. ‘The River’ is a beautiful track, which features vocals from Abby Diamond. It is in some way haunting yet it creates something which you fall in love with. The progressive style to it, the journey, the vocals, it all clicks, it showcases the quality from Draft.

There is a style or pattern which runs through the ‘Patience & Time’ EP which Draft has created. It’s the instruments and melodies which he brings forth, and you hear these once more in ‘Steamroller‘. A heavy, gritty track which provides a dark, insensitive track, however the energy is raw, and well worth listening to. ‘Feeling Forever‘ is a journey once more, a progressive masterpiece which takes you through a track of builds and drops, ups and downs. Stunning synthwork mixes with a sweet bass line, it’s one of the best tracks on the EP. And rounding it all off is ‘Letheia (Reprise)‘ and this is an upbeat way to finish off the EP. Energetic, soothing, upbeat, it’s something a little different, but works very well with the EP. Draft has really enforced himself on the scene and on the Mau5trap label.
