The dynamic duo of Dirtcaps have been forging away on the scene with some huge Trap bangers, Bass anthems and hard hitting Electro monsters. Adding these tracks to their collection, and starting up their own label Klash Records, the duo have developed a rather reputable name for themselves. It is also set to get a bit better with their new ‘Dime Pieces’ compilation album.
Klash Records has been a hub for Dirtcaps to release their own music, while the duo also host their own Klash Radio series. They have been aiming to promote upcoming talent and budding producers on the scene, and the release of ‘Dime Pieces’ is set to do this. A number of talented producers and DJs feature on the compilation album, consisting of eleven tracks. If you need a few tracks to beef up your sets, ‘Dime Pieces’ contains some serious fire power.
The quick fire album flies through tracks which bounce between heavy electro to Trap, Bass and all things in between. ‘They Ain’t Ready Fam’ kicks off the album, and comes from Funky Craig. This is one which really sets the Trap tone with the gritty bass lines, Dancehall like vocals and a serious high-powered energy surrounding. ‘Boom Bap’ by Reebs however takes that harder electro approach, with big hitting drops and bass-y elements.
Other stand out tracks on the ‘Dime Pieces’ compilation include the Dirtcaps edit of Luca Rezza’s ‘Bongo’. Alex Kidd also features on the album with his track ‘BTFU’ which takes over the Reggae like sounds and fuses them with Hardstyle and Bass elements. A huge anthem. Tracks also come in from Tekraw, Greg Dela, Late and many others. It’s certainly worth a listen if your into these sounds.
