Claptone’s ‘Fantast’ Will Be One 2018’s Best Albums

The anticipation for 'Fantast' is already building following three single releases.

The mysterious Claptone. Hidden behind a golden mask and DJing with white gloves, covered head to toe in black. Nothing is really known about the producer other than his ability to produce some of the best House music in the scene. Curating parties such as The Masquerade, as well as DJing alongside Defected Records and other major brands, Claptone is becoming one of the most sought after artists in dance music.

It was a few years ago that the producer released ‘Charmer‘ and what an album that was. A sensational, different twist on the music which was around at the time. Now fans of the artist have been getting all hot and bothered with the news that his latest album, ‘Fantast‘, will be released on June 8th. It’s a countdown until it arrives, however the artist is letting us into parts of the album, with three single releases to date. And each show why this will be one of the albums of 2018.

The first single to arrive was ‘In The Night‘ which features vocalist Ben Duffy. It was released at the same time of the ‘Fantast’ album news, and it really sets the tone for the album. A groovy record which gives off a mixed signal between the Disco and House genres. Working the background production with the vocals is a huge success on the track. Arriving as the second single was ‘Stay The Night‘, and this one has a slightly darker edge to it, thanks to the vocals of TENDER. It has a deep growling bass line with some fantastic melodies just allowing the energy to ooze out of the track.

Most recently has been the release of ‘Under The Moon‘ which features Nathan Nicholson which could potentially be the best of the three singles. This one has some soothing piano melodies which again brings about an infectious energy within the track, and working in with the vocals just presents something special. This is a superb track, one which is going to have the dance floor in a state of trance. ‘Fantast’ contains thirteen tracks with a host of features from vocalists. Claptone is certainly impressing us so far with what is on offer.
