It’s a sad day for Carl Cox fans once more, the legendary DJ seems to be breaking hearts all over the world recently. The news broke last year would be his last season at Space Ibiza, his Revolution night at the now closed club would cease, and what a real heart-breaker that was. Now he is hanging up the headphones and stepping away from the mic with his ‘Global Radio‘ show.

Carl Cox has been producing his ‘Global Radio’ show for the last 16 years… yes you read that right. His radio show has become one of the demanded platforms for exciting new Techno and underground music, while also showcasing old classics and renowned producers and artists like himself. Now it is all coming to an end as Carl Cox steps away.

“I have enjoyed every single moment of creating these shows for you, but all things must come to an end at some point and it is time for me to focus on new things.” – Carl Cox

The last show ended up on episode number 722, a huge number of shows spanning 16 years and what a show this one was. A huge amount of ID tracks featured, with thumping Techno and classic tracks flowing throughout. Some of the stand out artists to feature included the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Dennis Ferrer and Carl Cox himself. While other producers such as Joe Brunning, Tom Trago, Reset Robot and Laurent Garnier all featured. Carl Cox rounded off his show with The Underground Sound Of Rome’s ‘Magic Staircase’ to pull the curtain down on 16 years. Wow.
