These guys have been smashing it lately in the world of underground dance music as they continue to make their name known and associated with the big labels. CamelPhat. The duo who have become a key figure in my music library. The lads are back with more new music as they release the three track ‘Higher‘ EP on Suara.

This is not the first time CamelPhat have landed on Suara as they released the mighty fine ‘Light Night‘ EP not so long ago, with the stand out track being ‘Make Em Dance’ and it sure did. Now they are back and the three track ‘Higher’ EP is all about the underground groove, the energetic style which they can bring to the dance floors and the quality music which they seem to produce, as well as mixing up the style of the tracks themselves.

Reverse It‘ goes in with that iconic vocal sample which seems to just cut through the track alongside the drum samples, allowing the energy to really build up, before dropping down with some soothing percussion as the vocal continues to churn through the track. It has a groove to it, one for the real underground enthusiasts and this is sure to go down well with fans and fellow artists.

Following this is the EP title track ‘Higher‘ and probably my favourite track of the EP. This one is all about the layers of melodies which CamelPhat have brought through, as each time the energy and groove is cranked up, the tempo gets faster, the infection grows and it just goes in to really make a big impact. When this track drops, you could instantly see the dance floors going wild with the energy as the melodies provide that infectious nature and the atmosphere surrounding this track is purely positive and upbeat. An absolute anthem from CamelPhat.

Last but not least is the track ‘Raabta‘ and again, it has a contrasting style to the other two tracks, which are also different to each other, with the diversity a key point in the ‘Higher’ EP. This one is deeper, a little darker and one for the early morning parties/sunset groovers with the solid tempo running through the track with that soothing guitar chords, this is a classy bit of production work and again, will fit in and impress a lot of their fellow artists. CamelPhat, excellent work once more.
