Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson have become a household name over the last few years with their Bicep brand. The enigmatic duo have been performing all over the world, delivering clear cut electronic and underground music to thousands, and building a reputation which many cannot rival. The Bicep name is demanded.

What we haven’t had from the duo though is any news of an album, but lets just hit that nail in the head. A Bicep album is coming as the duo revealed the news. It has taken well over a year and a half to make, numerous demos and several tracks, but twelve have been selected. The album will be their first, and it will come self-titled as ‘Bicep’. Ninja Tune has been the label chosen to front the release, and the news has sent fans wild.

What is also good is that you won’t have to wait that long for the release of the album. September 1st has been the date chosen, which is only a few months away. That also leaves time for a few singles. The first of these singles has arrived with the news, the lead single, titled ‘Aura‘. And what a fantastic piece of work this one is. It holds those classic Bicep sounds, with the mixture of the deep underground and electronic. Beautiful. The excitement is set to build.

The dynamic duo will also be heading out on a world tour to celebrate the release of the album, with shows set to take place at the iconic Glastonbury, the Ulster Hall in Belfast, Electric Picnic festival on the night of their album release, and many other locations. Make sure you catch them play.
