Under The Sunshine.
As I’ve mentioned quite a lot in my articles, a lot of talented new producers and artists are growing within the dance music scene. Genre is not an issue as each specific genre seems to be growing in force lately. One of those artists who is growing and growing however is Bensley, and his latest single ‘Under The Sunshine‘ showcases this.
Bensley was one of the youngest signed artists to the Drum N Bass force RAM Records. Headed by the mighty Andy C, a lot of credit has been given to Bensley for his work and his music. He is an artist who has a vast amount of potential, with many tipping him to follow in the footsteps of the Drum N Bass master. With a new album on the way, and the first single ‘Slither‘ already released, it was time for the second single. And it has arrived as Bensley releases ‘Under The Sunshine’.
It’s a little different to ‘Slither’, which was a monster Drum N Bass anthem. ‘Under The Sunshine’ is a little more stripped back, a little more tamed and quieter. Huge vocals rivet through the track and add a soulful and emotional edge to the track, while the background production carries out the rest of the work. Throughout the track you encounter different tempos and the change in pace, as the track either builds or drops. It’s a soothing rollercoaster in a weird way, but it works and works very well. This just showcases the quality and skill which Bensley holds in his power. Drum N Bass with, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, a Jazz like influence on the track. Beautiful work.
