Over the last year or so following the major rebrand, Toolroom Records has turned itself into a real powerhouse, not that it already wasn’t. With a number of rising stars on the label and closely associated with it, Adrian Hour is one of those front runners and he has dropped a two track EP including ‘Love Something‘ and ‘Don’t Stop‘.
The last few years have saw Adrian Hour rise to prominence in the underground scene, hailing from Buenos Aires in Argentina. His ability to bounce between House, Tech House and Techno is amazing, and he is setting himself up to be one hell of a star. For his latest piece of work, he has entered the studio and produced two immense new tracks, coming in with ‘Love Something and ‘Don’t Stop’ on the Toolroom Records label. And what a cool little EP this one is.
‘Love Something‘ is the first track to land on the EP and what a huge hitting Tech House anthem this one is. With a hard hitting bass line which rivets through the track, as well as a South American vocal which just adds to the tone of the track, it all seems to come together in the best way possible. This is one which will dominate the dance floor. When it drops, the energy seems to pour out of the track, with a dark, intimate atmosphere holding it all down. This is sure to make an impact wherever it happens to be played, what a tune from Adrian Hour.
Following on from this is ‘Don’t Stop‘ and again, it follows on from ‘Love Something’ in terms of style, energy and atmosphere. Not to mention quality. This one seems to hold a more Techno like bass line which is paired off with the drums, while the melodies begin to float into the backdrop of the track. It has a sketchy like energy behind it as well as an unusual atmosphere, but the track again is one which will make a solid impact on the dance floors.
